Je ramasse une branche tombée avec le vent. Je la garde un peu dans l’atelier, je la regarde. Puis je la dessine à l’encre transparente, à l’échelle 1. J’effectue le dessin à l’aveugle, il est une conversation. Le dessin, trace de celle-ci, n’est révélé qu’après coup par l’action de l’encre qui recouvre.
The act of drawing crystallizes an intention and a relationship, which, through the materiality of a work, can be communicated.
I pick up a branch that has fallen in the wind. I keep it in the studio for a while, I look at it. Then I draw it in transparent ink, to scale 1. I make the drawing blindly, it is a conversation. The drawing, a trace of it, is only revealed afterwards by the action of the ink that covers it.
